Head of Supply Chain, Logistics & Procurement

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Head of Supply Chain, Logistics & Procurement to lead the end‑to‑end supply chain function for a growing manufacturing business in Hemel Hempstead. You will own procurement, logistics, inventory and demand planning while managing a high‑performing team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the complete supply chain, procurement and logistics operation across the UK and Europe.
• Develop and maintain accurate demand‑forecasting and material‑planning models.
• Translate project schedules into material requirements to support production.
• Manage procurement strategies to secure materials while optimising costs.
• Oversee imports, exports and customs compliance.
• Control inventory levels and conduct quarterly stock audits.
• Collaborate with Sales, Projects and Operations to align capacity with demand.
• Mentor and develop a team of six supply‑chain professionals, expanding to seven.
• Produce reports and analyse data to drive business decisions.

Required profile

• Strong background in sheet‑metal, fabrication, manufacturing or technical engineering environments.
• Significant experience in supply‑chain, procurement and logistics management.
• Highly analytical with commercial awareness and a data‑driven approach.
• Proven ability to lead and develop high‑performing teams.

• Competitive salary up to £65,000 per year plus bonus.
