Health and Safety Adviser

About the role

We are looking for a passionate and organised Health and Safety Adviser to join our growing consultancy based in the South West. The role offers flexibility with remote work when you are not on client sites and part‑time options for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert health and safety advice to a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple sectors.
• Support clients in meeting current UK health and safety legislation.
• Conduct site inspections, audits and workplace assessments, delivering clear, practical reports.
• Develop and review risk assessments, method statements (RAMS) and safe systems of work.
• Prepare tailored policies, procedures and management systems that are legally compliant.
• Maintain strong professional relationships and act as a trusted point of contact for clients.
• Deliver training sessions designed by the consultancy and ensure confidentiality of client information.

Required profile

• Strong technical knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practice.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to produce clear, practical documentation and reports.
• Proactive, personable approach with a focus on client service.
• Capability to handle confidential information with discretion.
