Health and Safety Advisor

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Health and Safety Advisor to support our growing construction operations in Ringwood. The role involves working closely with site teams, influencing positive behaviours, and driving a strong safety culture across multiple projects.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular site inspections and audits across active construction projects.
• Provide health and safety advice to managers, supervisors, employees, and subcontractors.
• Assist in preparing, reviewing, and implementing risk assessments, method statements, and safe systems of work.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses and dangerous occurrences, identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Monitor compliance with health and safety legislation, including CDM Regulations 2015.
• Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks and health and safety briefings.
• Maintain accurate records, inspection reports and compliance documentation.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and regulatory bodies as required.

Required profile

• NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety (essential).
• Previous experience as a Health and Safety Advisor in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and CDM Regulations 2015.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

• Reviewing and assessing RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements).
• Knowledge of ISO 45001 management systems (desirable).
