Health and Safety Advisor (Logistics / Warehousing)

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Health and Safety Advisor to establish and lead a new H&S team for our logistics and warehousing operations across Essex and Suffolk. Based in Colchester, you will work closely with multiple sites, implementing safety processes and fostering a culture of compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and manage a new Health & Safety department covering several sites.
• Develop and implement safety processes and procedures.
• Monitor workforce safety, deliver training and lead compliance initiatives.
• Conduct hands‑on inspections, audits and risk assessments.
• Recruit, onboard and train internal and external staff.

Required profile

• Experience as a Health and Safety Advisor or similar role within logistics/warehousing.
• Ability to commute to Colchester.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Relevant certifications such as IOSH and NEBOSH.
