Health and Safety Consultant

About the role
The Portfolio Group is partnering with a leading global consultancy to recruit a Health and Safety Consultant for its expanding team in Edinburgh. You will deliver expert health and safety advice, conduct on‑site visits, and build strong client relationships across a variety of sectors.
Key responsibilities
- Lead contractual service visits and produce comprehensive documentation.
- Investigate incidents and accidents, recommending preventative measures.
- Provide guidance on Health and Safety Management systems and act as the client’s personal H&S lead.
- Manage time effectively to ensure efficient, cost‑effective client service.
- Support clients during crises with appropriate management strategies.
Required profile
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
- Detail‑oriented with strong organisational and problem‑solving skills.
