Health and Safety Manager – Defence Sector

About the role

This position is for a motivated Health and Safety professional to join a prestigious defence and marine contractor. Based in Dorset, you will lead safety projects from concept to completion while supporting your development through recognised qualifications.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and lead health and safety projects throughout their lifecycle.
• Manage health and safety operations for a large defence and marine organisation.
• Ensure compliance with UK health and safety legislation and internal standards.
• Provide guidance and training to staff on safety procedures.
• Travel occasionally across the UK and Europe for site visits.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an HSE manager or similar role.
• Strong motivation to develop expertise in the defence sector.
• Willingness to pursue further qualifications such as COSHH, NEBOSH, IOSH.
