Health and Social Care Assessor – Apprenticeship Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Health and Social Care Assessor to deliver and support apprenticeship programmes across the South East. You will work both from home and in the field, assessing learners and providing functional skills training in Maths and English.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and support learners pursuing Health and Social Care apprenticeships (Levels 2, 3 or 5).
• Deliver functional skills training in Maths and English to Level 2.
• Plan and manage a diary of visits, remote assessments and face‑to‑face sessions.
• Maintain accurate documentation of learner progress and outcomes.
• Motivate, advise and overcome barriers to learning for each apprentice.
• Meet KPI targets for timely visits, quality paperwork and overall administration.

Required profile

• Recognised Assessor award (D32/33, A1, CAVA or TAQA).
• Experience delivering full Health and Social Care apprenticeships (frameworks or standards).
• 3‑5 years occupational competency at Senior Carer level or above.
• Minimum Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care.
• Confidence delivering functional skills Maths and English.
• Comfort with online remote assessments and occasional face‑to‑face delivery.
• Good ICT proficiency.
• Full, clean driving licence and own vehicle; flexible to travel.

• Salary £29,000‑£32,500 per annum plus bonus up to £12,000.
