About the role
The Health and Social Care Assessor will work from home and travel across Cornwall to assess and support learners undertaking Health and Social Care apprenticeships. You will deliver functional skills in Maths and English and provide both remote and face‑to‑face assessments.
Key responsibilities
- Assess and support learners pursuing Health and Social Care apprenticeships at Level 3 or Level 5.
- Deliver functional skills training in Maths and English to Level 2.
- Manage your diary to ensure timely visits, reviews and remote assessments.
- Maintain accurate documentation of learner progress and meet KPI targets.
- Motivate and advise learners, overcoming barriers to learning.
Required profile
- Hold a recognised Assessor award (D32/33, A1, CAVA or TAQA).
- Experience delivering Health and Social Care apprenticeships (frameworks or standards).
- Occupational competency in Health and Social Care for the elderly.
- Confidence in delivering functional skills in Maths and English.
- Willingness to travel and use a personal vehicle.
Required skills
- Good ICT proficiency.
- Full, clean driving licence and access to a vehicle.

- Competitive salary of £27,000‑£30,000 per year plus bonus.
