Health and Social Care Assessor

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Health and Social Care Assessor to join our team in Brighton and the surrounding area. You will work flexibly from home and in the field, supporting learners on Health and Social Care apprenticeships and delivering functional skills training.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and support learners pursuing Level 3 or Level 5 Health and Social Care apprenticeships.
• Deliver Maths and English Functional Skills (Level 2) to learners.
• Plan and manage your diary to ensure timely visits, remote assessments and face‑to‑face reviews.
• Maintain accurate documentation of learner progress and outcomes.
• Motivate and advise learners, overcoming barriers to learning.
• Meet KPI targets for visits, paperwork quality and overall administration.

Required profile

• Recognised Assessor award (D32/33, A1, CAVA or TAQA).
• Experience delivering Health and Social Care Apprenticeships (Frameworks or Standards).
• Occupational competency in Health and Social Care (Elderly).
• Confidence delivering Functional Skills Maths and English.
• Willingness to conduct online remote assessments and face‑to‑face sessions.
• Full, clean driving licence and own vehicle, with flexibility to travel.

Required skills

• ICT proficiency.
