Health and Social Care Lecturer (Flexible, Sunderland)

About the role

We are seeking experienced Health and Social Care Lecturers to deliver flexible, ad‑hoc teaching at Sunderland College. The position is on behalf of The Supply Register and offers the chance to support learners across Level 1‑3 Health and Social Care programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons for Health and Social Care courses (Level 1–3).
• Support learners with coursework, assessments and provide constructive feedback.
• Teach topics such as health, social care, safeguarding and professional practice.
• Plan and deliver inclusive teaching sessions.
• Monitor learner progress and maintain a positive learning environment.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in health and social care, either in industry or teaching.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities.
• Professional, reliable and flexible approach.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain).

Required skills

• Knowledge of health, social care and safeguarding standards.
• Ability to design and deliver inclusive curriculum for post‑16 learners.
