Health and Social Care Lecturer

About the role

The Supply Register is recruiting on behalf of NCG to join the Higher Education team at its London campus as a Health and Social Care Lecturer. You will deliver high‑quality undergraduate teaching across a range of modules and support students in developing both academic knowledge and professional practice.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver engaging lectures, seminars and workshops for undergraduate Health & Social Care programmes.
• Plan lessons, set assessments and mark work in line with awarding body and institutional standards.
• Provide academic guidance, mentorship and feedback to support student progression.
• Contribute to curriculum development, quality assurance processes and maintenance of academic standards.
• Collaborate with fellow academic staff and participate in departmental meetings and activities.

Required profile

• Degree level (or higher) in Health & Social Care, Nursing, Social Work, Public Health or a related discipline.
• Proven experience teaching in a higher‑education setting or delivering HE‑level Health & Social Care content.
• Strong subject knowledge and ability to engage diverse learners.
• Excellent communication, organisational and assessment skills.
• Desirable: recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed), HEA Fellowship, and relevant professional experience.
