About the role
The Health Care Assistant will support patients in a residential or community setting, ensuring their comfort, safety and wellbeing. Working alongside nurses and care staff, you will deliver personal care, monitor health indicators and assist with daily living activities.
Key responsibilities
- Provide personal care including washing, dressing and toileting while respecting privacy and dignity.
- Take and record clinical observations such as blood pressure, pulse, oxygen saturation and weight.
- Prepare and serve meals, assist with feeding and monitor fluid intake.
- Support mobility by helping patients walk or move safely, following manual handling guidelines.
- Respond to call bells, reassure patients and communicate relevant information to the nursing team.
Required profile
- Experience as a carer is preferred, but candidates willing to undergo full training are welcome.
- Ability to work full‑time in a fast‑moving health and social care environment.
- Commitment to maintaining patient dignity, privacy and safety.
