Health, Safety & Environment Specialist

About the role

You will be a key member of the corporate team, responsible for protecting people and supporting a critical business operation in a fast‑moving environment. This role goes beyond simple compliance – you will help embed a strong Health, Safety & Environment (HS&E) culture across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain HS&E policies and procedures.
• Conduct risk assessments, incident investigations and root‑cause analyses.
• Collaborate with internal teams, external partners and suppliers to ensure HS&E standards are met.
• Deliver training and awareness programmes to promote safe working practices.
• Monitor performance metrics, report on compliance and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven experience in health, safety and environment roles within a large organisation.
• Strong knowledge of UK HS&E legislation and best practices.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills.
• Proactive, solution‑focused attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
