Health & Safety Manager Distribution

About the role

Superdrug is seeking a proactive Health & Safety Manager to lead safety initiatives across its distribution centre. You will work closely with site managers and the training team to embed a strong safety culture and ensure statutory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Implement, monitor and maintain the site health and safety management system.
• Coach and develop distribution centre management to foster ownership of safety responsibilities.
• Lead the Health & Safety Training Team delivering material handling equipment (MHE) and all health & safety training programmes.
• Partner with site managers to drive safety agenda, conduct audits, inspections and corrective actions.
• Develop and improve risk assessments and safe systems of work throughout the supply chain.
• Oversee accident investigations, statutory reporting and analysis of safety data.
• Represent the site at health and safety meetings and provide expert advice.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading health and safety functions in a distribution or warehouse environment.
• Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and statutory compliance.
• Ability to coach managers and influence a safety‑first culture.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
