Health & Safety Manager

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Health & Safety Manager to join a growing construction business operating across the North West. You will act as the primary point of contact for all health and safety matters, working closely with site teams to embed a strong safety culture and ensure compliant project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular site inspections, audits and compliance reviews.
• Support project teams with risk assessments, RAMS and safe systems of work.
• Investigate incidents, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Deliver toolbox talks, briefings and safety training sessions.
• Monitor adherence to company policies and UK health & safety legislation.
• Provide practical health & safety advice to operational teams.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and regulatory bodies as required.
• Produce reports and track key H&S performance indicators.

Required profile

• NEBOSH General or Construction certification.
• Experience in construction, civil engineering, refurbishment or a related sector.
• Strong knowledge of UK health & safety legislation.
• Proven ability to conduct site audits and inspections.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
