Health & Safety Manager – Manufacturing

About the role

The Health & Safety Manager will lead the SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment and Quality) function for a well‑established manufacturing site in Cheshire. Reporting directly to senior management, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe, compliant and high‑quality operating environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee health, safety, environmental and quality procedures across the site.
• Manage compliance using Citation H&S and Atlas software.
• Maintain and audit ISO 9001 systems.
• Conduct regular safety and quality audits and drive continuous improvement.
• Take full ownership of SHEQ performance in an engineering and manufacturing setting.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a Health & Safety role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 standards.
• NEBOSH General Certificate.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and manage own workload.

Required skills

• Citation H&S software.
• Atlas software.
• ISO 9001 system management.
