Health & Safety Manager – Milton Keynes

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Health & Safety professional to lead the health, safety, environmental and facilities agenda for our River Island operation in Milton Keynes. Reporting to the General Manager, you will drive compliance, embed a proactive safety culture and support our Road to Zero strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the site’s Health, Safety and Environmental strategy, ensuring compliance with legislation and GXO standards.
• Oversee facilities, engineering and contractor management activities to maintain safe operations.
• Manage incident reporting, investigations, risk assessments and corrective actions.
• Lead audit activities, compliance programmes and tactical risk improvement plans.
• Coach and influence managers and colleagues on QHSE, training requirements and legislative compliance.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Health & Safety leadership role within a fast‑paced operational environment.
• Qualified health & safety professional (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH).
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong operational experience and facilities management knowledge.
