About the Role

Varndean College is seeking an enthusiastic and highly qualified educator to join our dynamic Health & Social Care department. We are looking for passionate professionals dedicated to shaping the next generation of healthcare workers through engaging and impactful teaching.

Main Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality teaching and learning sessions in Health & Social Care to diverse student groups.
• Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons in line with curriculum requirements and educational standards.
• Assess, monitor, and record student progress, providing constructive feedback to support development.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the department's curriculum and teaching resources.
• (For Programme Leader applicants) Provide strategic leadership, manage staff, and oversee the successful delivery of the academic programme.

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience in the Health & Social Care sector or in vocational teaching.
• Strong passion for education and a commitment to student success.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students and colleagues.
• For Programme Leader roles: Demonstrated leadership experience and ability to manage academic teams.

• Pedagogical skills and classroom management.
