Healthcare Assistant – Community Care (Devon)

About the role
Join a CQC‑regulated care provider delivering high‑quality community support. As a Healthcare Assistant you will work directly with individuals who need everyday assistance or complex medical care, ensuring their safety, dignity and wellbeing.
Key responsibilities
- Administer medication safely and accurately.
- Provide tracheostomy care, suctioning and catheter management.
- Deliver PEG feeding and oxygen therapy via nasal cannula.
- Monitor health observations and manage epilepsy and other complex conditions.
- Offer reassurance, emotional support and maintain patient dignity at every step.
Required profile
- Care Certificate or NVQ in Health & Social Care.
- Minimum 1 year experience as a healthcare assistant.
- Experience with complex care, catheter suctioning, tracheostomy, PEG feeding, oxygen therapy and epilepsy management.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Safeguarding Level 2 or 3.
- DBS registration on the Update Service.
- Valid manual handling and basic life support training.
