Healthcare Assistant – Flexible Shifts in Swindon

About the role

We are seeking compassionate and reliable Healthcare Assistants to join our team across Swindon. This temporary, part‑time role offers flexible day, evening, night and weekend shifts, allowing you to support individuals in a variety of care settings while making a real difference to their daily lives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide personal care such as washing, dressing and toileting.
• Assist with mobility, transfers and repositioning.
• Support meals, hydration and daily activities.
• Offer companionship, reassurance and emotional support.
• Monitor and report changes in health or wellbeing.
• Maintain accurate care records and daily notes.
• Follow individual care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures.
• Uphold dignity, privacy and confidentiality.
• Collaborate with nurses, care teams, families and other professionals.
• Administer medication where trained and authorised.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant, Care Assistant or Support Worker.
• Compassionate, patient and respectful approach.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliability, flexibility and good time‑management.
• Understanding of safeguarding, confidentiality and person‑centred care.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Relevant qualification (NVQ/QCF) desirable but not essential.
