Healthcare Assistant – Medication Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate Healthcare Assistant with a specialism in medication to join one of our respected healthcare clients in Leeds. This ongoing temporary position offers a dynamic environment where you will support patients and the care team while developing your clinical skills.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and monitor patient medication under supervision, following care plans.
• Assist patients with daily living activities, ensuring dignity and respect.
• Take and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and weight.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain accurate patient records and contribute to care documentation.
• Support Registered Nurses and other healthcare professionals in delivering high‑quality care.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 months recent UK experience as a Healthcare Assistant or in a similar role.
• Eligibility to work in the UK without restrictions.
• References from recent healthcare positions.
• Completed training in Basic Life Support and Manual Handling (proof required).
• Strong communication skills and an empathetic, caring nature.
• NMC registration is favourable but not mandatory.
