Healthcare Assistant – Social Care (London)

About the role

We are seeking a reliable Healthcare Assistant to join our social care team in London. You will help individuals maintain their wellbeing and independence by providing day‑to‑day support in a caring, person‑centred environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as washing, dressing and toileting.
• Support mobility and nutrition, helping with feeding and safe transfers.
• Observe and record changes in health, wellbeing and behaviour.
• Follow safeguarding, confidentiality and infection‑prevention procedures.
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists and other professionals to deliver coordinated care.
• Work flexible shifts, including weekends, to meet service demands.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a healthcare, residential or domiciliary care setting (preferred).
• Compassionate, practical approach to supporting others.
• Strong communication and observation abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Willingness to undertake relevant training and qualifications in Health and Social Care.
