About the role

We are looking for a caring Healthcare Assistant to support an 11‑year‑old boy in his family home in Whitchurch. This role offers a rewarding chance to help a cheerful young person enjoy his favourite activities while promoting his independence and wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

• Provide personalised care and support within the family home.
• Assist with daily routines and personal care needs.
• Encourage independence, confidence and engagement in hobbies such as video games, music and YouTube.
• Build a positive, trusting relationship with the child and his family.
• Promote comfort, wellbeing and quality of life.
• Collaborate with the family and wider care team to ensure consistent support.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 months paid care experience in a professional UK setting.
• Genuine passion for supporting children and young people.
• Strong communication skills and a caring approach.
• Reliability, patience and a positive attitude.
• Full UK driving licence (essential).
