Healthcare Support Worker – Home First

About the role

The Home First Service is seeking an experienced Healthcare Support Worker to join a multidisciplinary team delivering person‑centred care in the Tweeddale locality. This fixed‑term position covers maternity leave from October 2026 to April 2027 and involves supporting patients in their own homes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality, person‑centred care to patients in their homes, working alongside registered nurses and allied health professionals.
• Coordinate care with other health professionals, patients, and families to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Support service delivery across Central, Teviot & Tweeddale localities when required.
• Work flexible weekdays and weekends on a rotational basis, covering hours from 08:00 to 20:30.

Required profile

• Current NHS Scotland staff member.
• Motivated, adaptable and able to make decisions without direct supervision.
• Full UK driving licence with appropriate business insurance.
• Willingness to work both weekdays and weekends as needed.

Required skills

• Full UK driving licence.
