HGV ADR Class 2 Driver

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Class 2 HGV driver to join a family‑owned chemical manufacturing business in West Thurrock. You will be responsible for the safe and compliant transport of specialist bulk chemicals to a range of industrial customers across the UK.

Key responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently transport specialist chemicals in bulk to valued customers.
• Maintain full compliance with ADR regulations (Class 8 & 9).
• Plan routes using knowledge of UK road networks and geography.
• Wear and maintain appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
• Adhere to driver’s hours regulations and company safety standards.

Required profile

• Valid Class 2 HGV licence with a maximum of 6 penalty points.
• ADR experience and knowledge (Class 8 & 9 required).
• DCPC qualification.
• Commitment to health, safety and ISO standards.
• Willingness to work Monday‑Friday shifts with occasional weekend overtime.

Required skills

• ADR Class 8 & 9 certification.
• DCPC qualification.
• Proficiency in using PPE correctly.
