HGV Automotive Technician / Mechanic – Workshop Based – Bristol

About the role

We are looking for a skilled HGV Automotive Technician/Mechanic to join our Flex‑E‑Rent workshop in Bristol. You will work on a diverse fleet of heavy‑goods and specialist vehicles, ensuring they are safe, reliable and ready for the road.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain and repair a wide range of HGVs and specialist vehicles.
• Work with top brands such as Mercedes, Iveco and Ford.
• Ensure all vehicles meet safety and quality standards.
• Prepare vehicles for MOT testing.
• Collaborate with a friendly, skilled workshop team.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• Experience working with HGVs or LCVs.
• Full UK/Ireland/EU Class C or CE manual driving licence.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented approach and a passion for vehicle maintenance.

Required skills

• Vehicle diagnostics for heavy‑goods vehicles.
• HGV maintenance and repair techniques.
• Knowledge of Mercedes, Iveco and Ford commercial vehicle systems.
• MOT preparation and safety compliance.
