HGV Class 1 & 2 Driver – £22/hr, Immediate Start

About the role

Rapier Employment is seeking qualified HGV Class 1 and 2 drivers for a long‑term, well‑paid position based in Harlow. The role offers a guaranteed £22 per hour, a predictable three‑week rotating rota and immediate start for the right candidates.

Key responsibilities

• Perform multi‑drop deliveries (typically 6–8 drops per shift) of chilled, frozen and ambient goods.
• Use cages, tail lifts and electric pallet trucks to load and unload consignments.
• Complete vehicle checks and delivery paperwork for each route.
• Provide professional and friendly customer service to store staff.
• Follow planned routes to convenience stores and other delivery points.

Required profile

• Valid HGV Class 1 and 2 (Category C / C+E) licence.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Maximum of 6 penalty points (minor offences only).
• Reliable, professional attitude with good communication and time‑management skills.
• Flexibility to work the specified rotating rota.

Required skills

• Electric pallet truck operation.
