HGV Class 1 (C+E) Driver – Woking

About the role
Join the team that keeps the UK moving. Royal Mail is seeking experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) drivers for depot‑to‑depot trunking operations in Woking on a temporary, ongoing basis through the end of 2026.
Key responsibilities
- Transport mail between national Royal Mail sites.
- Perform comprehensive vehicle checks and maintain top‑tier safety standards.
- Follow scheduled routes with precision, including morning, evening and weekend shifts.
- Represent Royal Mail professionally on every run.
Required profile
- Valid HGV Class 1 / C+E licence held for at least 2 years.
- Current CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
- Minimum 180 days of Class 1 driving experience in the past 2 years.
- Maximum 6 penalty points on licence.
- Ability to pass vetting and DBS checks.

- Competitive hourly rate £22.41–£25.53 (shift dependent).
- Guaranteed minimum daily hours with weekly pay, holiday accrual and pension (PAYE).
- Option to secure preferred shifts after assessment.
