HGV Class 1 Driver – Curtain Sider & Box Trailer

About the role

Ignition Driver Recruitment is seeking experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) drivers for a client in Rochdale. The role involves operating curtain sider and box trailer vehicles on a variety of day and night shifts, with flexible patterns to suit personal availability.

Key responsibilities

• Operate curtain sider trucks – manage trunking, strapping and curtain movement.
• Operate box trailers – handle pallet movements where required and perform pure trailer manoeuvres.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
• Maintain accurate electronic paperwork and records in line with driver hours and road transport regulations.

Required profile

• Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) driving licence.
• Minimum 12 months of commercial Class 1 driving experience.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph card.
• Professional attitude with a strong commitment to safety and customer service.
