HGV Class 1 Driver – Days & Nights Shifts in Wigan

About the role

Join a reputable logistics client in Wigan as an HGV Class 1 driver, covering both daytime store deliveries and nighttime trunking routes. Shifts run 10‑12 hours with start times between 04:00‑06:00 for days and 16:00‑18:00 for nights, offering immediate start dates.

Key responsibilities

• Perform store deliveries during daytime shifts, handling 1‑3 drops per shift.
• Execute trunking operations on night shifts, also with 1‑3 drops per shift.
• Carry out manual handling tasks on day routes.
• Adhere to start‑time windows and ensure timely completion of each shift.

Required profile

• Valid UK HGV Class 1 licence.
• Current Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• No more than six penalty points on the licence.
• At least two years of licence holding experience.
• Strong knowledge of drivers’ hours and Working Time regulations.
