HGV Class 1 Driver – Full‑time (Basildon)

About the role

Join a well‑established truck and trailer rental business in Basildon as an HGV Class 1 Driver. You will be responsible for moving vehicles and trailers throughout the South East, ensuring they are ready for hire and maintaining a tidy yard.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with daily deliveries and collections of vehicles and trailers across the surrounding area.
• Present vehicles and trailers for MOT testing.
• Carry out daily checks on shunters and keep the yard organised.
• Prepare vehicles for hire, including valeting and operational checks.
• Deliver vehicles to other depots within the group.
• Collect new vehicles from body builders.

Required profile

• Full HGV Class 1 driving licence.
• CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) and Digi card holder.
• Good knowledge of the local area.
• Flexibility to work overtime when required.
• Availability for a Monday‑Friday schedule, 07:00‑17:00.
