HGV Class 1 Driver – Full‑time Contractor

About the role

We are seeking experienced HGV Class 1 drivers to join a leading supermarket chain on an ongoing contract. The role involves day and night deliveries across the UK, providing reliable service to high‑profile clients.

Key responsibilities

• Operate HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Deliver goods to designated locations, adhering to schedules.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and tachograph logs.
• Comply with all health, safety and insurance requirements.
• Use personal navigation tools or maps to plan routes.

Required profile

• Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• Good geographical knowledge of the delivery area.
• Maximum of minor penalty points on licence, meeting client insurance criteria.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Professional attitude and reliable work ethic.

Required skills

• HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) driving.
• Driver CPC certification.
• Digital Tachograph operation.
• Navigation using maps or GPS.
