HGV Class 1 Driver

About the role

Join Maritime Transport’s Liverpool depot as an HGV Class 1 driver in the Container Division. You will operate first‑class vehicles on day or night shifts, delivering containers across the UK.

Key responsibilities

• Operate Class 1 HGVs to transport containers safely and efficiently.
• Follow scheduled routes and delivery windows while maintaining accurate paperwork and electronic logs.
• Adhere to health, safety and ADR regulations at all times.
• Participate in mentoring, training and CPC assessment programmes.
• Perform additional tasks such as curtain‑side, genset and splitter handling when required.

Required profile

• Valid C+E licence (Class 1); the Professional Driver Scheme welcomes holders with less than 2 years experience, while experienced drivers are also considered.
• Willingness to work day or night shifts (Monday‑Friday) in the Liverpool depot.
• Strong commitment to safety, compliance and continuous learning.
• Ability to complete mandatory medical checks and CPC training.
