HGV Class 1 Driver

About the role

We are seeking experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) drivers to join a 24/7 parcel logistics operation based in Warrington. You will operate trunking trailers on long‑haul routes across the North West, the Midlands and up to Scotland, with flexible start times and average 11‑hour shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Operate Class 1 HGVs to transport parcels for major courier companies.
• Cover routes primarily from the North West to Nuneaton/Rugby, Dundee and other destinations.
• Maintain professionalism and excellent customer service during all interactions.
• Adhere to all safety protocols, WTD legislation and company guidelines.
• Complete average 11‑hour shifts, with the ability to choose a start window from 12 pm onward.

Required profile

• Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C+E).
• Valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• Minimum 12 months HGV driving experience.
• Maximum of 6 penalty points on the licence.
• Ability to work independently on long‑haul runs.
• Reliable, professional and committed to high safety standards.
• Good understanding of WTD legislation and strong communication skills.

Required skills

• Class 1 HGV operation (C+E licence).
• Digital Tachograph usage and compliance.
• Knowledge of WTD (Drivers’ Hours) regulations.

• PAYE rates of £156 per day mid‑week and £171 per day on weekends.
• Rolled‑up rates of £174 per day mid‑week and £191 per day on weekends.
