HGV Class 1 Driver

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) driver to join our client’s fleet in Avonmouth. The position is temporary with ongoing assignments, offering flexible shift patterns across mornings, afternoons and evenings, seven days a week.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a heavy‑goods vehicle on trunking routes and perform occasional store deliveries.
• Carry out pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections and ensure tachograph and Working Time Directive compliance.
• Secure loads, follow health and safety procedures and complete accurate delivery paperwork.
• Communicate with dispatch and customers to confirm delivery details and resolve issues.

Required profile

• Valid UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence with at least two years of relevant driving experience.
• Current CPC qualification and a digital tachograph card.
• Maximum six penalty points and no disqualifications (DD/DR/IN/TT).
• Good knowledge of the UK road network and Working Time Directive regulations.
