About the role
Join a leading bakery in Dunstable as an HGV Class 1 driver dedicated to shunting operations. You will work both day and night shifts on a 4‑days‑on, 4‑days‑off roster, earning £20‑£21 per hour.
Key responsibilities
- Perform shunt movements within the busy yard, positioning vehicles and trailers as required.
- Operate HGVs safely and efficiently, adhering to all site and road safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of movements and tachograph data.
- Collaborate with yard staff to ensure smooth workflow and timely dispatches.
Required profile
- Valid full HGV Class 1 licence.
- Current CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) and tachograph card.
- No more than six penalty points and no major endorsements or convictions.
Required skills
- Proficiency in operating HGV Class 1 vehicles.
- Knowledge of CPC standards and tachograph operation.
