HGV Class 1 Driver – Trunking (Depot to Depot)

About the role

We are looking for a reliable HGV Class 1 (C+E) driver to join our transport team on a depot‑to‑depot trunking schedule. The role offers a consistent Monday‑to‑Friday pattern with flexible start times between 18:00 and 19:00, allowing you to focus on safe and efficient goods movement.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out Class 1 trunking runs between depots and distribution centres.
• Operate articulated vehicles (C+E) safely and professionally.
• Complete deliveries and collections on time, ensuring loads are secure and compliant.
• Perform pre‑ and post‑shift vehicle inspections and tachograph recordings.
• Couple and uncouple trailers as required.
• Maintain accurate paperwork and digital records.
• Communicate with transport planners and depot teams.

Required profile

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph card.
• Minimum 12 months of Class 1 driving experience.
• No DR10 or IN10 convictions and no more than 6 penalty points.
• Strong reliability, punctuality and ability to work independently.

Required skills

• Proficiency with UK driver hours and transport compliance regulations.
• Ability to conduct vehicle walk‑around checks.
• Accurate completion of digital tachograph records.
