HGV Class 1 Tramping Driver – £16/hr, Dedicated Truck

About the role

We are seeking a reliable HGV Class 1 (C+E) Tramping Driver for the Forest of Dean area. The position offers a fixed rate of £16 per hour, a dedicated truck each week, and a regular Monday‑to‑Friday schedule with an optional extra day.

Key responsibilities

• Perform full pallet deliveries using curtain‑sided vehicles
• Execute distance runs and nationwide collections
• Operate tail lifts, pallet trucks and forklifts for loading and unloading
• Handle trailer swaps and ensure safe vehicle operation
• Maintain compliance with legal and company transport regulations

Required profile

• Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) licence
• Valid CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
• Age 21 or over
• Maximum of 9 penalty points
• Professional, customer‑focused attitude
• Commitment to keeping the vehicle clean and tidy
• Willingness to complete induction, theory assessment, vehicle checks, driving assessment and reversing test
