HGV Class 2 ADR Driver – £17/hr in Middlesbrough

About the role

People Solutions are recruiting an HGV Class 2 ADR Driver for a well‑established client in Middlesbrough. The role offers a consistent day‑shift schedule, £17 per hour PAYE rate and the chance to develop both as an experienced and newly qualified driver.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and drive Class 2 vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Deliver goods to RDCs and customer sites across the North East.
• Load and unload consignments, ensuring accuracy and safety.
• Carry out daily vehicle inspections and report any defects.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and complete required paperwork.
• Communicate with dispatch, customers and site staff throughout each journey.
• Work with a Driver’s Mate on multi‑drop deliveries when required.

Required profile

• Valid UK Category C licence.
• Valid UK CPC card and Digital Tachograph card.
• European ADR qualification.
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no IN, DR, DD, or CD codes).
• Reliable, punctual and professional attitude.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
