HGV Class 2 Driver – Home Delivery (No Weekends)

About the role

Rapier Employment is seeking HGV Class 2 (Category C) drivers for a temp‑to‑perm home‑delivery role based in Rochester, South East England. You will join a two‑person team delivering high‑quality kitchens and bedrooms directly to customers' homes, working Monday to Friday with no weekend shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Complete 5–8 multi‑drop deliveries per day, delivering goods to the customer's chosen room.
• Use handheld scanners to confirm each delivery.
• Provide professional customer service throughout each visit.
• Handle manual lifting and heavy items safely.
• Work alongside a dedicated driver’s mate and follow pre‑loaded vehicle schedules.

Required profile

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Maximum of 6 penalty points (no DR, DD, IN or CU80 endorsements).
• Physically fit for manual handling.
• Willing to undergo DBS and drug & alcohol screening.

Required skills

• Handheld scanner operation.
• Driver CPC certification.
• Digital Tachograph usage.

What we offer

• £18.25 per hour plus holiday pay.
• Overtime at £27.37 per hour after the 5th shift.
• Quarterly bonus up to £1,300 and annual bonus up to £5,200.
• Potential earnings up to £45,552 OTE.
