HGV Class 2 Driver

About the role

We are seeking a professional HGV Class 2 ADR Driver to join a leading supplier of industrial and medical gases. The role involves operating a commercial vehicle on scheduled multi‑drop routes while transporting hazardous gas cylinders in full compliance with ADR regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Operate commercial vehicles safely, adhering to all ADR regulations and safety guidelines.
• Complete scheduled multi‑drop deliveries and collections to commercial, retail, or industrial premises.
• Perform thorough pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections and report any defects.
• Securely fasten and manually handle gas cylinders or specialised waste containers.
• Maintain accurate tachograph records, delivery notes, and dangerous‑goods paperwork.

Required profile

• Valid UK HGV/LGV Class 2 (Cat C) licence.
• Current Driver Qualification Card (CPC) and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Valid ADR card for Class 2 gases in packages.
• At least 3 years of licence holding with 180 days driving experience in the past 2 years.
• Maximum of 3 penalty points and no disqualifying endorsements.
• Willingness to undergo a driving assessment, DBS check, and drug & alcohol test.

Required skills

• HGV Class 2 licence.
• ADR certification (Class 2 gases).
• Driver Qualification Card (CPC).
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Ability to conduct vehicle inspections and manual handling of gas cylinders.
