HGV Class 2 Driver & Multi‑Skilled Operative

About the role

This permanent, full‑time position is based at a depot in Royal Tunbridge Wells and combines HGV Class 2 driving with a range of hands‑on environmental and industrial tasks. You will work both independently and as part of a busy technical operations team, delivering planned and reactive services to commercial and public‑sector clients.

Key responsibilities

• Operate HGV Class 2 and other company vehicles safely, adhering to tachograph regulations.
• Perform daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly.
• Carry out high‑pressure water jetting and industrial cleaning duties on site.
• Respond to spills and emergency clean‑ups using specialist equipment.
• Install, service, inspect and decommission interceptors and storage tanks.
• Support groundworks, remediation and civil‑works projects, including surface preparation and spray lining.
• Uplift and off‑load materials safely and complete accurate job reports.
• Participate in a 1‑in‑3 on‑call rota covering evenings, weekends and occasional away work.

Required profile

• Valid UK HGV Class 2 licence (ideally with zero points, up to 6 points may be considered).
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Willingness to undertake on‑call duties and occasional weekend or evening work.

What we offer

• £40,000 per annum including London weighting.
• Additional on‑call payments.
