HGV Class 2 Driver – Plant Hire Delivery (Edinburgh)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join a leading plant‑hire business serving the construction, utilities and infrastructure sectors across Scotland. You will be responsible for the safe loading, delivery and collection of heavy plant equipment to customer sites, ensuring punctual service and a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Load, deliver and collect heavy plant equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle and equipment checks.
• Demonstrate hire equipment to customers when required.
• Complete all relevant paperwork and hire documentation accurately.
• Maintain compliance with transport legislation, CPC rules and Health & Safety procedures.
• Provide a professional, customer‑focused service at all times.

Required profile

• Previous HGV driving experience involving plant machinery or heavy equipment.
• Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• Current CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph card.
• Recent experience towing trailers.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Reliable and professional attitude.
