HGV Class 2 Driver – £40,000 per annum

About the role

We are looking for a reliable HGV Class 2 Driver to join a leading logistics client. The role involves transporting furniture and other goods across the UK and occasionally on European routes, ensuring timely and safe delivery to customers.

Key responsibilities

• Build positive relationships with customers and ensure satisfaction.
• Load, unload and handle products carefully to prevent damage.
• Complete PODs, CMRs and any required customs documentation.
• Perform daily vehicle checks and report defects promptly.
• Secure loads correctly and transport them safely.
• Use company technology such as PDAs and tracking systems.
• Communicate effectively with the Transport Manager and wider team.
• Follow drivers' hours, tachograph and Working Time Directive regulations.

Required profile

• Full UK HGV Class 2 driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• Physical fitness to manoeuvre and deliver furniture safely.
• Strong customer service attitude and professional presentation.
• Reliability, punctuality and ability to work well in a team.
