HGV Class 2 Driver – Temp to Perm

About the role

This temporary‑to‑permanent position is for an experienced HGV Class 2 multi‑drop driver based in Reading. You will work regular weekday shifts, delivering palletised goods to private customers and local businesses with no weekend or bank‑holiday commitments.

Key responsibilities

• Complete two multi‑drop delivery runs per day within the local area.
• Ensure all deliveries are performed safely, professionally and on schedule.
• Carry out vehicle checks and complete all required delivery paperwork.
• Start each shift at 8:00 am and guarantee 10 hours of work per day.

Required profile

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• Previous experience in multi‑drop and pallet network deliveries.
• Professional attitude and good customer service skills.

What we offer

• Temporary rate: £17.00 per hour (plus holiday pay inclusive of £19.00 per hour).
• Permanent rate: £17.50 per hour.
