HGV Class 2 Driver – Temporary Ongoing Role

About the role

We are looking for an experienced HGV Class 2 driver to join our commercial relocation team in Reading. This temporary, ongoing position involves moving office furniture and performing other physical tasks on day shifts throughout the week.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily vehicle checks
• Adhere to health and safety regulations
• Safely carry out driving and manual handling duties
• Use equipment according to safe working practices
• Load and unload office furniture
• Collaborate with a team of porters

Required profile

• Valid HGV Class 2 licence with full CPC Digital tachograph card
• Strong knowledge of UK driving laws and regulations
• Minimum 12 months HGV driving experience (insurance requirement)
• No more than 6 penalty points on licence
• Physically fit, reliable and a positive team player

What we offer

• Standard rate £17 per hour plus holiday allowance
• Overtime rates £20 per hour on Saturdays and Sundays
