HGV Class 2 Driver – Up to £40k + Benefits

About the role

You will deliver an essential frontline waste‑collection service, visiting domestic and commercial customers to safely collect waste using specialist tanker vehicles. The role combines independent driving with a strong focus on customer service and environmental protection.

Key responsibilities

• Collect waste from assigned routes, ensuring safety and compliance.
• Operate specialist HGV tanker vehicles and maintain required documentation.
• Provide a professional, customer‑focused experience on every visit.
• Collaborate with the transport team and participate in an on‑call rota for emergency call‑outs.
• Adhere to health, safety and environmental standards at all times.

Required profile

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• Driver CPC qualification.
• Digital Tachograph (Digi Card) holder.
• Previous HGV driving experience.
• Strong communication and customer‑service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• Safety‑first mindset with excellent attention to detail.

Required skills

• HGV Class 2 licence (Category C).
• Driver CPC qualification.
• Digital Tachograph (Digi Card) operation.
