About the role
Pertemps Southampton are seeking experienced HGV Class 2 drivers to operate dustcarts for a local authority in Hedge End. The role involves regular collection routes, early‑morning starts from Monday to Friday and occasional Saturday work when required.
Key responsibilities
- Drive dustcarts on planned refuse collection routes across the local area.
- Coordinate with a team of loaders, ensuring safe and efficient loading of waste.
- Occasionally act as a loader to support the crew during peak periods.
- Adhere to all health, safety and traffic regulations while on the road.
Required profile
- Full UK driving licence.
- Valid HGV Class 2 licence with at least six months of commercial experience.
- Digi‑Card and Driver CPC certification.
- Maximum of six penalty points on the driving licence.

What we offer
- Basic rate of £15.45 per hour PAYE.
- Overtime rate of £23.18 per hour PAYE.
