HGV Class 2 Refuse/Dustcart Driver – Hemel Hempstead

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 driver to operate a dustcart/refuse collection vehicle for a reputable client in Hemel Hempstead. The role involves completing scheduled waste and recycling routes and supporting the loader team as needed, offering reliable, ongoing work with competitive pay.

Key responsibilities

• Drive a Class 2 dustcart safely and efficiently on assigned routes.
• Collect waste and recycling punctually, adhering to schedule.
• Assist loaders with loading duties during collections when required.
• Maintain compliance with transport regulations, health and safety standards, and company procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 months recent experience driving an HGV Class 2 (Category C) vehicle.
• Valid UK Category C driving licence with no more than six penalty points and no disqualifications or endorsements.
• Driver CPC qualification and a Digital Tachograph card.
• Willingness to assist with loading tasks and a commitment to safety.

Required skills

What we offer

• £18 – £22 per hour (umbrella) for the initial 12 weeks, with the potential for ongoing work.
