HGV Class 2 Tanker Driver

About the role

This permanent position is for an experienced HGV Class 2 Tanker Driver to join a well‑established wastewater solutions company in Stonehouse. You will operate a brand‑new tanker vehicle, servicing septic tanks, sewage treatment plants and pumping stations across domestic, commercial and industrial sites.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a Class 2 tanker safely and efficiently on customer sites.
• Empty septic tanks, sewage treatment plants and pumping stations.
• Transport waste to authorised tipping facilities and ensure proper disposal.
• Complete daily vehicle inspections, paperwork and tachograph compliance.
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
• Collaborate with service and installation teams to deliver excellent customer service.
• Maintain a professional image and high standards of vehicle care.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a tanker driver.
• Valid Category C (Class 2) HGV licence.
• CPC Qualification Card and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Strong communication and customer‑service skills.
• Good time‑management, organisational abilities and the capacity to work independently.
• Basic knowledge of the wastewater industry is advantageous.
• Flexible attitude to working hours, including overtime.

What we offer

• Competitive salary £34,000‑£38,000 per year, dependent on experience.
• Overtime available, with Saturday premium rate (1.5×).
• Permanent, full‑time role – 45 hours per week.
• Brand‑new tanker lorry provided (arriving end of August).
